Proj Overview

The new Embassy Suites Hotel located at 100 Ferry Wharf Road in Mt. Pleasant, SC, features 158-rooms overlooking the Charleston Harbor. This beautiful property features outdoor pool, restaurant, meeting/reception space and a fitness center. Just steps away from this hotel offers great views of the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge and the Mt. Pleasant Memorial Waterfront Park. Early in the design the owner/Architect knew precast hollow-core panels would be a perfect choice.

PRECAST SOLUTION:
Hollow core plank was specified for the structure for the 2nd - 7th floor and roof. Hollow core plank provided an efficient structural system that could help accelerate the construction schedule. The hollow core plank was a perfect solution for a quick installation with limited space required. The hollow core was picked directly from the delivery trucks and immediately placed on the structure.

An alternate for precast stairs & precast balconies was offered during the bid stage. CPI realized the benefits of having three sets of stairs immediately available as each floor was set in place, along with the advantage of having the balconies precast in our facility and erected with each floor in lieu of forming and pouring in place separately.
